STUDENT REVIEWS

It's hard to say that the education system in the Republic of Korea differs from that one in Kazakhstan. However, we can't deny that some of their characteristics place Korean universities ahead of the rest of the global education system. South Korean universities have a two-term academic year: the first term runs from March to July, and the second term runs from September to the end of December.
Advantages of studying in South Korea:
1. Qualitative education. Teachers are not limited in providing students with knowledge of the mandatory curriculum, but also try to make classes more engaging and lively. This is because at the end of the semester, students are required to leave an honest, anonymous comment of the professor and their course before their final grade is checked. This makes feedback more visible and contributes to the improvement of both the educational system as a whole and faculty-student relationships in particular.
2. The campus has everything of students’ needs: a cafeteria, grocery stores, a library, a dormitory, a football field, a cafe, a park, etc.
3. One month before classes begin, students submit an application for the desired course and create their lesson plan. Within one week of the start of classes, they will have the opportunity to cancel a missed lesson and enroll with a different teacher or in a different course.

During our 5 months of study in Poland, we got a feeling for the Polish atmosphere and became acquainted with their culture and values.

1. First and foremost, Polish are very loyal to their language. If they don't need to speak to you, they won't speak to you in a foreign language. I really appreciated this quality, because this is the only way to preserve the national language and native culture.
2. The Polish have preserved all their treasures to this day. Ancient palaces, towers and museums are protected, and accordingly, they have become a source of business and tourism.
3. Strict laws. For example, I didn't pay my fare on time, which resulted in a hefty fine. The locals are conscientious and know they're responsible for every violation. Summing up our study abroad experience, I want to say it gave me a springboard for further development. Before my trip to Poland, I was an impressionable child fixated on my dream of studying in Europe! Now I realize I've matured considerably. Now I have extensive experience of working in Europe. I believe every student should experience this feeling.
